Amazon items stay in my cart until I buy them, save for later or delete. Or they may also become unavailable. Other carts don't save but I've put things in and not bought and then may or may not go back later.

I don't know if others do this? I tend to think about things for awhile. And I'm not sure why. Right now I have about 53 dollars of items in my Amazon cart. Not sure when I'll check out or if I will with all the items.

I sometimes put things in my amazon wish list, which saves them so I do not have to hunt for that item again, but I do not put anything in my cart until I am ready to order it.
However, with Walmart+, I do that all of the time, and just add grocery items until I have over the $35 necessary for the delivery order.

Unless I'm absolutely sure I want/need an item, I put it in my Amazon cart and then move it to 'Save for later'.

I like the way Amazon gives price increase/decrease info for items in my Save for later area. Though sometimes it makes me regret not having bought them sooner.

One item I thought I really desired but it was too expensive and it sat for months in my Save-for-later, then for Black Friday it had a great price, but by then I'd lived without it for such a long time I decided I didn't really need it after all.

I store things in my Amazon cart under "save". Then when I am ready to order, which is usually once or twice a month, I prioritize and some stay in the "save" file and some are deleted, others ordered.

I add items I want soon to my "list" on Amazon. After it is in the list I will add a note with the price. That way I can see if the price goes down and quite often I get a lower price if I wait a week or so.

On Amazon you don't need to leave items in your cart if you don't want to buy them right away. You can add the item to your "wish list" and they stay there until you either by them or delete them. I do that all the time and then when I decide that I want to buy the item or items, just go to my wish list and add them to the cart

Oh wow, I didn't know about the wish list. I just use the cart. I'll look into that.

I remember looking at a pliable cat ball toys my tabby loves. I got some from Chewy but they were sold out. The price on Amazon kept going up and down, up and down. A couple of times I didn't buy when it went down but I finally did. I've never watched a price fluctuate like those did.

You always can cancel an item even if it is in your cart.

I use the shopping list more often than the semi-public wish list.

Nobody needs to see how much I shop for silk underdrawers and such. Your Amazon and/or Other Carts. Leave Items In The Cart For a Time, or Buy Right Away? (12)

I put them in till the next day, or maybe a bit longer,
then I buy them.

A friend told me a while ago that sometimes Amazon
will contact you if you have things in the basket and offer
a discount if you buy them, "Now", I don't know if that is
true.

Gee-I wish- never heard that before. I tend to ruminate over my shopping cart before I actually buy anything.

There used to be about 25 miles away, stores like K mart and Builders Supply and Home Depot and I have to do most the normal maintenance on my home , that I have a good stash of tools for, but as I get older, I no longer ask ,in stores like that , if the price is not clear to me, how much something costs-
because , if I really need it, I ask how much it weighs.

Sometimes I put something in my Cart and then wait until the next day, even though I’m 99% sure I’m going to buy it. It would be better if I put it in my Wish List. Often I don’t buy anything.

I store items I'm interested purchasing in my Shopping Lists. I only add items to my cart when I'm actually ready to buy.

I've never had that happen to me. I don't have Prime. I just get the price changes at the top when I click on my cart. Prices may be up or down. Those price changes come up for my save for later items also.
